There are many reasons why clients hire us. We’d like to tell you a few of the most common and perhaps most important ones.
Our Approach:
Financial planning has traditionally been seen as a strictly technical exercise. You ask a few questions, gather a bunch of data, crunch some numbers, print a stack of pages- and Viola! You have a plan. Or not.
Our approach moves beyond the numbers. Our goal is to create a plan and an investment strategy that reflects your goals and values, and motivates you to action. Our end-point is not just a big bank account, but also a life well-lived, goals accomplished, financial security for you, and an impact made on your family, friends and community.
Our Business Structure:
We feel our structure as an independent, fee-only firm is a great advantage for our clients. We are an Advisor to our clients, not a sales representative of a large company. Our fee-only structure helps us avoid conflicts of interest that can come with commission sales. By law we, because of our acceptance of fees, have a fiduciary duty to advise our clients on what’s in their best interest, not just what is “suitable” for them.
Experience:
Todd Washburn Solutions has over 9 years experience advising clients. In addition, Todd has a somewhat unique background of 15 years as a research scientist. The analytical world of science- full of numbers, hypotheses, experiments, problem-solving, and drawing conclusions- has proven very helpful in the technical side of financial planning. Plus Todd experiences life like many of his clients- running a business, enjoying marriage, raising a child and helping his community. He can relate to what you may be feeling and experiencing.
Credentials:
Todd has been a Certified Financial Planner® licensee since 2001. It’s the designation of choice for advisors focused on financial planning and the financial planning process. It’s a designation focused on a process- financial planning- and not affiliated with any specific product industry.
